Welcome To VASA!

VASA held a very successful annual meeting this year- if you missed it you missed a good one. We had a special guest speaker, Justin Lilly from Tread Lightly! speak about his organization and the benefits it could bring to VASA. Bruce Durkee will remain our President for another term, and the membership approved a fee increase effective for the 2013 riding season.

We've been keeping very busy here at the office- 2012 membership material will be disbursed to the local clubs in February and will then be available for purchase. Make sure you check your registration to make sure its valid so you can get your Trail Access Decal and be ready to ride.

Keep an eye on your mailboxes! We'll be working on a newsletter in February for you and you should see it in your mailbox by March.

Don't forget to visit us on facebook!

NCAA Press Release, January 4, 2012: Georgia Mountain

The North Country ATV Association has just received word from the Georgia Mountian landowner that due to construction of the wind farm the mountain will be off limits for 2012. Both the landowner and NCAA are in hopes of reopening trails for ATV usage in the future, however there will be no legal riding on VASA trails on Georgia Mountain in 2012. In an effort to put the mountain in a "timeout" the landowner will be placing concrete barriers at all entrances to the property. Please respect the landowner's wishes to complete their project safely without the concern of ATV traffic.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Thank you and Happy New Year,

Steve Carlin, President

North Country ATV Association, Inc.

We are going to be focusing on trail expansion again this year.  Please if you know landowners where you ride let us know or talk to them and see if they would be interested in opening their property to all VASA members.  We can then meet with that person to discuss what we can help them with.

Please help us give all ATV riders more places to ride!
